Eye Candy 5/23

Female Hottie: Nicole Scherzinger

Currently the favorite to win Dancing with the Stars, Nicole is perhaps better known as the (soon to be former) lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls. What some may not know, though, is that she began her career on a reality show that made a girl group. Anyone remember Eden's Crush? Good, because neither do I.

Male Hottie: Dennis Quaid

Dennis Quaid has had an up and down career. Currently he's in an upswing, with movies such as The Horsemen, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, and the forthcoming The Special Relationship where he will play Bill Clinton. Women love this guy, so I figured I'd let him have this spot.

Random hottie from a movie or TV show seen this week: Laura Vandervoort

Laura is currently starring as Lisa, the daughter of the high commander on V, a role that earned her this spot. While still in the early stages of her career, she has also played Supergirl on Smallville as well as but parts in Nickelodeon shows Goosebumps and Are You Afraid of the Dark. I think its a safe bet that we will be seeing more of this gorgeous hottie in the future.

MILF: Monica

In high school, I had the biggest crush on Monica. Back then she and Brandy were fresh faced R & B singers whose careers and lives had nowhere to go but up. Nowadays, Monica's career hasn't exactly been the stellar one she expected, but has been respectable, including a reality show on BET, a few acting jobs, and a slew of awards. Not to mention her two boys.

Classic/Retro Hottie: Lena Horne

It was truly a huge loss a couple weks ago when this classic beauty passed away. As a jazz aficionado, I know Lena Horne's music very well, but I also know her from her appearances on The Cosby Show and The Wiz. Lena was a true talent and beauty who left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry.
