Outrageous Costs

I'm sure you've all noticed that the price of just about everything has been steadily rising. This morning I heard a report that said Hawaii is paying $10 for orange juice. Are you kidding me? $10 OJ?!?!? WTF?!?

It all started with gas prices easing on up there. Up until about New Year's or so this year, they've been sneaking up there. Now they seem to not give a damn and just shoot up there.

Now these prices are affecting the cost of food. Soon folks won't be able to feed themselves. All because oil companies are so hellbent on making a buck rather than keeping the customer satisfied.

Oh, they may care, but they figure people have to buy gas anyway and will pay anything for it, why not charge them until it hurts. These are the same old farts that are probably driven to work in a limo whose gas is a perk of their position.

Those people make me sick. While most of us are struggling to make ends meet, the fat cats sit there and rake it in without so much as blinking an eye. While I'm talking of the fat cats. what is the government doing? Damn Republicans don't give a damn about anything but the pointless war, and the Democrats are so outnumbered, it makes you wonder if they can get anything done at all. McCain or Obama better do something about this first thing when they get in office, or America is going to become a 3rd world country.

One more thing on the topic of gas. What happened to the electric car? Why aren't there more affordable hybrids? They have a law about having to switch over to digital TV, why can't there be some kind of law saying we all need to get hybrids or something? That goes into global warming...a whole different blog in its own right.

I have an idea. Remember Back to the Future? They used trash as fuel. Of course, that would mean oil companies wouldn't make money, and as we all know, they're the only ones that matter, right?
