Eye Candy 5/31

Female Hottie: Rachael Ray

The darling of the Food Network and host of her own talk show, as well as author of a gazillion books, Rachael Ray has made quite the name for herself. To use her own words as my way of describe her, she's quite "Yum-o!"

Male Hottie: John Legend

John is one of, if not THE most talented REAL musician to appear on the scene in the last few years. He earned his Grammys with his talent and not with astounding album sales (although he had those, too). Women go crazy when they hear him sing, so I figured I better put him up here.

Random Hottie from a movie or TV show seen this week: Paula Garces

Paula is best known for the role that earned her this spot, as Maria, the object of Harold's desires/affection in Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle and the sequel. She's had bit parts here and there, but that's her claim to fame, and, hey, it's enough to get her on here.

MILF: Sharon Leal

Another little known hottie, Sharon is best known as the girl that replaced Jennifer Hudson's character in Dreamgirls. She's also starred in Boston Public and last year's Soul Men, with the late Bernie Mac. I was not aware of this until this morning, but she has a little boy, which means she's a MILF. Anyone out there care to argue? I didn't think so!

Classic/Retro Hottie: Jayne Mansfield

Jayne Mansfield spent most of her career constantly compared to Marilyn Monroe. However, where Marilyn played ditzy blonde characters on screen, Jayne was an exceptional mind off, but in her words, "They're more interested in 40-21-35." Jayne had a long film career that was cut short by a tragic car accident. However, we can see her daughter, Mariska Hargitay, every week on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Where are they now?

I was watching an episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air the other day, and there was a scene with both Queen Latifiah and Will Smith. Now, the show aired in the early 90s, before both of them became huge stars, so to look back at it now, you have to wonder if they knew they'd be as big as they are now? During the course of the show's run, I know Tyra Banks became a regular, Don Cheadle, Vanessa Williams, and I'm sure a few others. This got me to thinking what other shows have had celebs guest star before they became big stars?

Well, not long after that question popped n my head than I watched an episode of Quantum Leap that guest starred Jennifer Aniston.

The Cosby Show had a nice long string of guest stars, some that were already established, and others that made it big after their appearance, such as Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder, Christopher Plummer, Sinbad, Dizzy Gillespie, Roscoe Lee Brown, Naomi Campbell, Bill Bradley, Wallace Shawn, Nancy Wilson, The Muppets, Max Roach, Adam Sandler, etc. Yes, Adam Sandler was on there. As a matter of fact, he was on of Theo's friends for like 3 or 4 episodes. As far as Alicia Keys, well she had a memorable role as the little girl at Rudy birthday party that Cliff bounces on his knee. (A little bit of Cosby trivia for you)

This week, I've been catching up on my I Dream of Jeannie reruns. Now, I haven't seen enough episodes to spout off a list of guest stars, but n episodes that I can recall there was Paul Lynde,Sammy Davis, Jr., Farrah Fawcett, Don Rickles, and Phil Spector. Spector's episode was actually on Thursday...ironically the day before he was sentenced to prison.

I'm going to finish this little guest star query and trivia post by tying I Dream of Jeannie to I Love Lucy. how? Well, Hayden Rourke, who played Dr. Bellows on Jeannie, guest starred in an episode of Lucy. I watched it the other day and had to double check my eyes (and the credits), and sure enough ti was him. On top of Rourke, Lucy had a slew of guest stars that came through, especially in the Hollywood episodes (of course). Names like Bob Hope, Tennessee Ernie Ford, George Reeves, John Wayne, Orson Wells, Verna Felton, Madge Blake, Harpo Marx, Janet Waldo (voice of Judy Jetson...for those who have no idea who she is), Frank Nelson (you'd know his voice, trust me), and Van Johnson, amongst others.

What's the point of all this? Well, none really, I just found it quite fascinating how you can come across a small role one day and a few years later that same person will be a huge star as well as seeing who has made guest appearances on other shows. Are there any you can think of?

No, Archie, No

If you'll remember last week I posted that Archie was going to pick between Betty and Veronica in what appears to be some sort of story arc. I think its just a storyline and nothing permanent *WHEW* Anyway, he's made his decision...

UGH!!! Why not Betty? This will not end well!

R.I.P.

Pushing Daisies airs its final 3 episodes in the next 3 weeks and it got me to thinking, what other shows will be joining the pie maker in the graveyard this year. Well, here's a complete list of shows that were cancelled or ended this year. The ones that I actually took the time to watch are marked.

My Name I Earl was left off for some reason, but it also was cancelled. Ironically, when I started getting into it a couple years ago, I said that it would get cancelled just because I started watching it, and sure enough, that's what happened.

So, looking over this list, are there any shows that you wish weren't cancelled? Glad that are gone?

Karma

Regular readers of my blog are familiar with the bad attitudes of my neighbors. Well, what goes around comes around.

One of the worst of the bunch is a bit down on his luck. I hate to sit here and gloat, but I can't help it. I mean, this guy was in charge of the insurance for the complex, but didn't pay it for like 10 months. I don't know how, but it was found out that he wasn't paying it about a month before Gustav came through and did damage to the complex. He also has done nothing but cheat on his partner, as well as be the main voice against my grandfather's car.

Well, shortly before the end of last summer, he and his partner split up and the other guy moved out. A few days later there was a notice from the sheriff on his door saying that their house was seized and a for sale sign put on out front. I don't know what became of all that, but I know the sign was torn to shreds by the hurricane and never replaced, for whatever reason.

He still comes back for some reason or other. The little woman, who was good friends with the other guy, thinks its just to have sex with guys. I wasn't so sure until the other day when this guy ran out of there shirt all open and buttoning his pants.

So, this guy is now single, living between two places. Before all this, he was driving a nice Infiniti, now he's downgraded to a Geo that's being held together by twine....that's not an exaggeration. I believe he's lost his job as an EMT. The homeowners association is still contemplating whether to press charges or not. I think they should, but it has to be voted on and all.

I would say that the fact the house hasn't sold is also part of karma, but i think that is more to do with the housing market. As far as I know, only 2 people have looked at it.

I can't help but be a little gleeful, yet sympathetic to what has happened to the guy. Is that wrong of me?

Proof that teachers are underpaid

For those of you that don't know, I am a teacher...specifically a high school band director...ok...assistant, but same thing, i just have more free time...lol

Anyway, a friend of mine quit the teaching profession at the end of the school year. When she told me this, I figured she was going back to school for another degree or just needed some time off, since she does teach middle school social studies. That would make sense, right?

Well, that assumption was way off. She is going to work as a McDonald's shift manager. Why, you may ask? Well, turns out that she can make nearly twice as much there than she can teaching.

Isn't that sad? Teacher's get paid less than a manager at Mickey D's! WTF?!? Now, I don't know the exact figures, and each state and district is different, but in Louisiana, we are one of the lowest paying states for teachers. However, it wouldn't surprise me if this is a common thing around the country.

Too bad I never worked for McDonald's, though. Wonder how much a Sonic manager would make? lol

Seriously, how pathetic do you guys think this is?

The task at hand

I've just come up with my firs summer task. I'm going to siphon thorough all my music files, getting rid of the ones that I downloaded for the sake of downloading, and renaming those that are labeled wrong or don't fit my system. This could take a couple of weeks.

Since this week I'm running my jazz list on winamp (i go back and forth each week between it and my mainstream list), I figure I'll start with it. Shouldn't take too long with this one. Everything is in alphabetical order, so it'll just be some moving and whatnot that has to be done.

Next week will be a bit of a challenge, though, since that other list has been shuffled around. I may just wipe it and start over. Either way, it'll take a few days to go through all of this stuff.

Wish me luck!

Wrong!

At the risk of getting all political today, I'm just going to state that the people of CA that voted to overturn prop 8 are just WRONG!!!! That's my opinion and that's all I'm going to say on the subject.

Dropping down the dropping

If you normal readers will recall, last month I decided to cut back on my dropping because I got so busy, then last week I just totally cut it out altogether while I *GASP* actually did work. I did do a couple of 300 days this weekend, though, but did not have the same enjoyment I had before I cut back on my dropping.

So, I've decided to keep the basic dropping that I was doing. What is that, you may ask? Well, I will only be dropping on blogs that I truly enjoy reading. After all, isn't that reasons we all look at each other's blogs anyway, to READ them? I will occasionally take the time and do a 300 drop day here and there, but not on a regular basis anymore. This also works for me since I don't want to spend my vacation hunched over in front of the computer.

Vacation has begun

ahhh...bliss!!! Here it is 9:45 and I'm just now waking up. Do you know why? I'm on vacation. well, technically my vacation started at noon on Friday, but yesterday was Memorial Day and I had some stuff to do Friday, so today is the day I'm officially calling the beginning of my vaca! Now the real question is what am I going to do for the next 3 months and how long will it be before I am begging to go back. lol Yeah, I'm one of those people that gets stir crazy and needs to be doing something. Hopefully bosslady will start band camp sooner rather than lady. I'm a little bitter they just didn't move me up to the head director spot, but hey, they could have let me go when bossman left, so I'm not complaining. Lazy days are grand!

Eye Candy 5/24

Female Hottie: Kara DioGuardi

When this season of American Idol started, I wasn't sure what to think of Kara, but as the season went on, she proved that she knows what she's talking about, can go head to head with Simon, and if you saw the final, know she has a rockin' body to go with that pretty face. Rumors are swirling she won't be back next season. I kinda want them to go back to the original 3 judges, but at the same time, don't wanna lose the opportunity to see her every week. Time will tell, but in the meantime, enjoy the hotness!

Male Hottie: Craig Horner

With Legend of the Seeker airing it's season finale this week (check your local listings), I figure Craig would be a worthy entrant into this week's spot. Other than Seeker, I don't know what else he's done, but for some reason, ladies are all ga ga over him, just as us guys are about his co-star Bridget Regan...lol

Random Hottie from a movie or TV show seen this week: Jenny Wade
Our random hottie comes from the newly cancelled Reaper, where she plays a demon. She just joined the case this season. Such a shame we won't get to see more of her, but from what I understand, she has a nice career before, and will have one after the show is long forgotten.

MILF: Keri Russell

Who would ever think that a simple haircut can cancel a show and nearly ruin a career? Keri knows about that firsthand from her days on Felicity. She's rebounded quite nicely, though with roles in a number of movies and TV spots. Not to mention she has son.

Classic/Retro Hottie: Vivian Vance

Vivian Vance has gone down in television history as one of the most beloved sidekicks. She is best known for starring alongside Lucille Ball on I Love Lucy. As a matter of fact, most of her career was spent starring alongside Lucy. Not a thing wrong with that. I'm sure there are more than a few actresses from that time that would have killed for that shot.

Say it ain't so Archie!!!

Can you believe it? Comic fave Archie Andrews will be growing up and settling down in August. Apparently, the comic will be moving forward 10 years. Archie will be all grown up and finally will choose between Betty and Veronica. Not sure if this just a one time thing, or the new direction they're going, but I have to say I'm not a fan. Part of what makes Archie so endearing has been the fact that he's in high school and has that whole love triangle thing going for him. It's like if Batman fought crime without the mask, Superman defeated all crime and truly made the world a perfect place, the X-Men didn't have to face any persecution from their fellow men nor have to deal with villainous mutants and villains, etc. *SIGH* Guess we'll find out in August what really happens.

Personally, I would pick Betty.

Keith says it all

Whether you agree with him or not, that video of Rush jumping around is pretty funny...lol

Did they REALLY win?

3 competition shows I watch all ended in the past few days. All of which seemed to have a front runner for most of the season only to pull a swerve in the last two episodes and have someone else win. It's kind of odd the way these happen and brings to question...did the REALLY win?

Let's start with Hell's Kitchen. From day one, anyone could have seen that Paula was going to be the winner, then somewhere in the last 3 weeks or so, after the teams merged, Danny started stepping up, or at least getting noticed. Needless to say these two faced were the most talented of the entire season, but it seemed as though Paula was set to be the next winner. That is, until the finale when her team let her down. I have to wonder if they really are that inept, or if that was staged by the producers. I mean, these are supposed to be world class chefs and all. I could spend an entire blog on that Lacey girl. --rolls eyes--

Regular readers of my blog, now that I like Dancing with the Stars (especially Cheryl Burke). The finale went down this week. Everyone, and I do mean everyone had picked the unknown French guy, apparently he was naked in Sex and the City which is his claim to fame, and the Bachelor runner up to have a showdown. Gilles was there, but Melissa was replaced with Shawn Johnson, the Olympic gymnast. Johnson went on to shock the world and win it all. Of course, the track record of the show seems to be that athletes win. So, I wonder if that was the case here, not to mention the whole stalking that was going on at the beginning of the season probably brought in a few sympathy votes for her. I can say this, though, at least Melissa didn't come in second on two shows...lol

Finally, we have the big one, American Idol. Unless you've been living under a rock or something, then you no doubt know that Kris Allen pulled the biggest upset ever and stole the crown from Adam Lambert. I have no malice towards Kris, but Adam was the superior talent and should have won this. America got it wrong, just like they did a couple years back when they voted Melinda Doolittle (one of the most talented and humble contestants to ever grace that stage) off in favor of Blake Lewis and eventual winner Jordin Sparks. With the exception of Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, winners haven't exactly had the most spectacular of careers (jury is still out on David Cook). Those that don't win, such as Chris Daughtry, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Pickler, etc., tend to do bigger things. So, as long as Adam doesn't go the Clay Aiken route and become a bitter queen, he'll be fine. As for Kris, I wish him the best, but something tells me he'll be joining Taylor Hicks on the county fair circuit sooner than later.

...didn't think I was gonna go through all that without mentioning the real reason why Adam didn't win, do you? Well, apparently, Bill O'Reilly brought up some pictures of Adam kissing a guy. Not sure if it was brought up before then, but I digress, he made this whole big spiel that America's "idol" doesn't need to be homosexual. You know, typical conservative, closed minded viewpoint. This brought up the whole debate about whether folks would vote for him or not. On top of that, there was Danny Gokey getting voted off the week before. Gokey and Allen are similar in style and lifestyles in their Christian/family ways of life. As a matter of fact, Gokey was supposed to have been in the final with Adam, but I won't go into that. The final reason is that the voters of Idol are mostly teens who don't like being told what to do, and since the judges all but gave Adam the crown in like week 3, or whenever it was that he did that totally awesome version of "Ring of Fire", they wanted someone else to win, just to prove them wrong.

Guess it worked, but this time next year, we'll see who has the better career, Adam, Kris...or maybe neither. What do you think of these winners? Do you agree that something fishy seemed up with the way they happened to win, or was it just coincidence?

Vick is free!!!

Let me guess...most of you readers think he should have been thrown away for life with the key thrown away, right? Sure seems that many people have had that reaction. All he did was run a dog fighting ring.

There are many athletes that have done way worse that are running free and never even have to think about what they did. some of them didn't even go to court, yet Michael Vick has been all but crucified because of two things...a)the new commissioner (at the time) wanted to make a point and b)people (especially Americans) think dogs are God's gift from heaven and any crime against them should be immediately punishable.

I'm a little biased here as I was a fan of Vick and really don't care for dogs. I think they are evil creatures, but that's beside the point. The man did something wrong, he is finishing up his sentence, and deserves a fair shot.

Heaven forbid, some guy murdered or raped a woman...chances are they'd go in for questioning, maybe sit in jail for a couple of days and be back on their team, probably with a new contract, ASAP. It's just not right the way Vick has been treated.

I'm glad that he's free and hope that teams stop being so publicity shy and give the man a shot. He deserves it. It's rather hypocritical to let some of the guys in the NFL that have done worse keep playing while Vick is doing construction (even if it is part of his probation).

Catching up is hard to do

Yes, I'm back! I've got dropping and blogging to catch up on (my EC status has been downgraded and I'm sure that I've fallen out of the top dropper running for many of my regular dropees), so please bare with me the next couple of days. I want to thank all of you that dropped by while I was away, and even more for those that bought ads and commented.

Since my last day of work is Friday until school starts back in August, I figured what better song to use that Europe's "Final Countdown". Hope you all enjoy!

I also want to take this moment to honor a truly great jazz artist and athlete, Waymon Tisdale. I'm only vaguely familiar with his music and was just getting into it when he died last week. Such a tragic loss. Have fun grooving to his "Let's Do It Again"

Eye Candy 5/17

Female Hottie: Emily Deschanel

The buzz around Emily's hit show Bones all season has been when will she and Booth (played by another member of the "club", David Boreanaz) get in bed together. Well, it happened in the season finale. I love her sister, Zooey (also a "club" member),but Emily is not half bad either. Hopefully in the future we'll see her in more than just Bones and cameos in The Alamo and Spider Man 2.

Male Hottie: Djimon Hounsou

I've been getting quite a few e-mails about putting some "chocolate" in this spot. Hope this will appease those viewers. They don't get much darker than this. Djimon is often cast as the African guide, or voodoo man, or something along those lines, but is still quite the capable actor. From some of the pictures I had to sift through to put on here, I'm sure who love his body, too.

Random Hottie from a movie or TV show seen this week: Mary Elizabeth Winstead

This cute little hottie earns this spot for her small role in Grindhouse: Planet Terror. I don't know much about her, other than she has that innocent look, but something tells me there's a bad girl lurking inside there. Looks can be deceiving, but one thing is for sure, she's deserving of a spot in the "club".

MILF: Christa Miller

Christa has been in the spotlight for nearly 15 years with her starring roles on The Drew Carrey Show and Scrubs, but she got her start on Kate & Allie (kudos if you remember that show).Did I mention she was in the first issue of "Maxim", has 3 kids, and looks like that? Can we say MILF?!?

Classic/Retro Hottie: Gloria Stuart

Who is this, you may ask? Well, Gloria is best known to me for her role in the 1933 horror/sci-fi classic The Invisible Man, but it turns out, she may be more known for something a little more recent. Ever hear of this little flick called Titanic? Well, she was Rose. She's still rather spry at 98 years old, and still finds steady work. Can we say wow!

Growth

So, I was doing my usual posts to my other blog this afternoon and scrolled down to see that it is one of the top growing blogs on wordpress.com. Woohoo!

Of course, this may have just been a fluke or a one time thing, but hey, I'll take what I can get.

For those of you that don't bother to look in my sidebar other than to drop on my card, my blog is located here.

As for those of you that do swing by and read, you are greatly appreciated. Keep it up!

If you tell your friends in the blogging community, who knows, maybe I'll be on there more often!

Saturday humor

Funny thing about this is, my dad would so totally do this...lol

Brainwashing

This morning I was watching Cartoon Network and they showed this block of programs they have set to premier next month. Nothing wrong with new shows, right? No, but there is a problem when none of them are animated. Believe it or not, that's not the biggest issue I have, these are all reality shows!!!!

Now, I've made it crystal clear that I'm no fan of reality shows. They're nothing but mindless drivel that pollutes the airways in place of quality scripted shows...all so the networks can save a few bucks. Having said that, I have heard that reality shows have been losing some steam. My guess is that the major networks have been whispering in Cartoon Network's ears to get these on the air so that when the kids that watch them get older they'll be huge fans of reality. Can we say brainwashing?

Of course, it wasn't that long ago that CBS tried an all kids reality show. I can't remember the name of it, but it worked for a couple of weeks, then people got tired of it. It was more controversial than anything what with dropping off kids to run a town in the middle of the desert somewhere. I'm not sure how these will do. My guess is they'll fare better, since they're on a "kids" network, but I still don't...scratch that...I HOPE they fail!

Is it so wrong to want scripted shows on TV? Since this is Cartoon Network, shouldn't they be showing cartoons, anyway? Maybe I'm just too old school in my way of thinking. Anyone out there agree with me?

Issues persist

I'm sure that I'm not the only that noticed Entrecard acting all funky yesterday with the stats and everything. Checked my e-mail this morning and there was thing from Graham that said one of the major servers went down.

I'm sorry, but for what is a very popular and heavily trafficked site, you'd think they'd have better equipment or something in place to prevent these things from happening, but I guess that would just make too much sense, now wouldn't it?

So, on top of the paid ad fiasco (I still get one or two requests now and then, but they seem to have left m alone since I put that little widget thingy up), and the overall EC experience has just been getting worse by the day.

Am I alone in wondering why I still even bother?

If this isn't inspiration, I don't know what is

I know that many of my readers, myself included, are on a diet, workout, and/or weight loss plan. Some have been getting results, while others are just getting frustrated at not seeing the desired results fast enough....a byproduct of today's instant gratification society. No one wants to put in the work anymore...but that's a whole different blog.

Not to mention, we always see these celebs that are pregnant and/or fat one day and seem to snap back into shape like a rubber band in less than a month. That can be inspirational and all, but what about a real person that shows real results?

This is my friend Jennifer this time last year . As you can see, she's a bigger girl. Well, after Xmas she went on a diet and started running 2-4 miles everyday. I'm sure she worked up to it.

So, a year later, here she is 65 lbs lighter .

Now if that doesn't inspire you, I don't know what will. I'm so proud of her!

...she's at Oskaloosa beach in Florida for those of you that are curious where these pics were taken.

Eye Candy 5/10

Female Hottie: Anna Faris

Anna's first big shot came in the hilarious Scary Movie franchise (the first two are the only ones really worth watching, though...lol). Recently, she's been working overtime on her career with films such as The House Bunny and Observe and Report, not to mention showing off her obviously sexy body.I think she's worthy of "club" membership, don't you?

Male Hottie: Chris Botti

I'd be willing to bet a good 99% of you have no idea who this is, right? Well, Chris is an accomplished jazz trumpeter. I figured this spot needed some culture, so he finally gained membership. If you haven't checked out his music, go give it a listen. Guys want to be him and ladies want to be with him.

Random Hottie from a movie or TV show seen this week: Emmanuelle Chriqui

Emmanuelle is an up and coming model turned actress. I first found out about her when I saw her in You Don't Mess With the Zohan. She earns this spot after seeing one of her earlier roles, in the movie Waiting...

MILF: Jennifer Connelly

I like to think of Jennifer Connelly as Demi Moore-lite. They both have similar looks, right down to those piercing blue eyes and raven hair. Jennifer has come a long way since defeating David Bowie in Labyrinth. She now has 2 boys, which gives her MILF status. Personally I prefer her curvier like she is in The Rocketeer. Seriously, she resembles SCarlett Johansson with dark hair in that movie!

Classic/Retro Hottie: Ingrid Bergman

We have a real beauty for our classic hottie this week. They once said Helen of Troy had a face that could launch a thousand ships. Well, Ingrid could have been descended from and/or played her in a movie. Although she died in 1982, she left a long legacy, including her daughter Isabella Rossellini. Ingrid had a successful career. Maybe you're familiar with her work in a little film called Casablanca? "Here's looking at you, kid!"

To all the mothers out there...

Selling Viagra on...Nickelodeon???

Yep! you read the title right. Yesterday evening I ws watching Fairly Oddparents and Spongebob Squarepants and varied from my usual channel flipping through the commercials because I was doing some paperwork. The commercials consisted of the usual fare for Nick, shows that come on, toy commercials, Kidz Bop, etc. However, what surprised me, were the number of more adult commercials, such as the toothpaste pumper (don't know the exact name of it), the snuggie, and a totally out of place Viagra commercial.

Now, I understand that its the parents that buy products, so the toothpaste thing and Snuggie are fine...odd, but fine. However, Viagra??? WTF?!? Granted, there's nothing excessively graphic or gross about the commercials, but that's just not something you want to be advertising during cartoons, y'know? I can just imagine the barrage of questions coming from kids that don't know anything about it and were totally confused by good ol' Smilin' Bob!

Do advertisers even care where they stick ads anymore? Or are they trying to get little kids to get Viagra? That's all we need, a bunch of 8-10 yr old boys walking around with hard ons. I feel sorry for the little girls (and teachers) that have to see and deal with that...lol

Things we've panicked about

Sad part is, this is too true...lol

Laughter

When was the last time you actually sat down and had a good laugh? Can you remember? Or are you so depressed these days that laughter is one of those actions that has gone the way of running and jumping into a pile of leaves.

Over the weekend I was reading a study that said that a good laugh can burn calories, especially sitcoms. The problem with that is that most of the shows in TV now are of the serious, drama type.

I can't prove it, but I think that once sitcoms and comedies started to be replaced with dramas and reality is about the time Americans started getting fat (or at least noticing it).

I'm a huge fan of comedies. That's probably why I watch so much old TV. Back then they knew how to create genuine laughs, rather than just make a bunch of jokes that eventually will come around to sexual innuendo.

Having said that, I'm always looking for new comedies/sitcoms that I either haven't heard of, or haven't been able to watch because of something else on at the same time.

Case in point...Monday nights are usually reserved for Chuck and Heroes, but since NBC has something against showing reruns and believes we need to see even more pointless hours of Deal or No Deal, I was forced to look elsewhere for my Monday night viewing. I was already a fan of How I Met Your Mother, and usually watch it during the summer, but I actually gave the show that precedes it, The Big Bang Theory, a shot. I must say, I haven't laughed that hard in a long, long time! I also took the time to watch ABC Family's new sitcom Roommates.

If the whole laughter burns calories thing is true, then I must burned enough calories last night to drop a good 5-10 lbs at least...lol Not to mention I had a much more...I can't think of a good word..but it was a much lighter mood in the house than there is after watching some of the other depressing, drama filled crap that fills the airwaves. You should all try it sometime!

Eye Candy 5/3

Female Hottie: Hayden Panettiere

With Heroes airing its season finale this past week, I figured what better time than now to allow Hayden entry into the "club". Can you believe this is the little girl from Remember the Titans?

Male Hottie: Taylor Kitsch

Taylor is best known for being Tim Riggins on NBC's hit drama Friday Night Lights, but this summer he makes the jump to the big screen in X-Men Origins: Wolverine as one of my favorite X-Men, Gambit. (The little woman picked this picture, so hope you all enjoy it)

Random Hottie from a movie or TV show seen this week: The Avellan Twins

I do believe these are the first twins to make the "club". Who are they, you may ask? Well, the Avellan twins are director Robert Rodriguez's nieces and may best be known as the annoying babysitters in Grindhouse: Planet Terror, which is how they got this spot. From what I've read they do some modeling and are working on another horror movie, so we'll be seeing more of them soon.

MILF: Diane Farr

My first exposure to Diane was in the short lived sitcom Like Family on the WB (kudos if you remember it). Since then she has gone on to star in Rescue Me, Numb3rs, and will soon start on Californication. She has a 3 yr old, twin girls, and unique beauty. I'd say that qualifies her to be a MILF, wouldn't you?

Classics/Retro Hottie: Janet Leigh

Best known for the infamous shower scene in Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, Janet Leigh had a long career, won a few awards, and gave the world Jamie Lee Curtis. I saw her this week in Bye Bye Birdie and didn't know it was her until the credits rolled. This woman had grace, talent, and beauty. What a package!
