Eye Candy 11/28

Female Hottie: Salma Hayek

If there was ever a woman that personified why many (including myself) think Latin women are hot, Salma Hayek is it. Salma has had quite the career, appearing in movies such as Desperado, From Dusk Till Dawn, Dogma, Bandidas, Frida, and served as producer for the TV show Ugly Betty. This curvy beauty's voice can be heard in the forthcoming animated feature Puss in Boots.

Male Hottie(s): NKOTB

A couple weeks ago, I had the Spice Girls as the retro hotties, so in an effort to be fair, I decided to give these guys a chance to be featured. Lord knows my big sister drove me crazy with their music when we were growing up. These days the guys have all gone on to various other projects, but a few years back, they reunited, and did it again this past Sunday along with the Backstreet Boys, with whom they are launching a tour this summer.

Random Hottie from a movie or TV show seen this week: Thandie Newton

Thandie Newton is one of those actresses in Hollywood that you see, but never know her name. Did you even realize that she was in The Chronicles of Riddick, Mission Impossible II, 2012, or Crash? If you did, I bet you didn't know her name. I know I didn't. I recently saw her in the movie Norbit.

MILF: Catherine Zeta-Jones

Our MILF for the week is Catherine Zeta-Jones. Currently, she is lighting up Broadway in A Little Night Music, for which she won a Tony Award. She was last seen on the big screen in The Rebound (a movie which hasn't been released in the US, yet). I have to say, after 2 kids and at her age, she looks pretty good.

Classic/Retro Hottie: Adrienne Barbeau

This week's classic hottie is best known for her time in the late 70s and early 80s as a sex symbol (as you can see, she's very well blessed). Adrienne was the original Rizzo in the Broadway version of Grease, and also appeared in film and television shows such as Swamp Thing, Maude, The New Adventures of Old Christine, Creepshow and recently started on General Hospital. She also has lent her voice to numerous cartoons and video games, most notably as Hera in the God of War series and Catwoman in the 90s Batman cartoon series. At 65 yeas young, she's showing no signs of slowing down.

Eye Candy 10/24

Female Hottie: Rosario Dawson

Rosario Dawson claims the title on female hottie of the week. This multi-ethnic beauty was last seen as Persephone in the movie Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. A bonafide movie star with model looks, Rosario is never out of work, and men (and some women) are always lusting after her. I'm sure we'll see more of her for a long time.

Male Hottie: Stephen Moyer

Since I don't have HBO, I don't get to watch shows like True Blood (awesome show, btw) until the DVDs come out. So, when the little woman borrowed the DVD of the first season last year, she fell in love with this guy. Not sure what else he has done, but he's a real good in his role, but those accents are so far from authentic, they're just funny to me. Enjoy ladies!

Random Hottie from a movie or TV show seen this week: Hayley Atwell

Hayley Atwell earns this spot for her time on the screen in the movie The Duchess. This buxom, curvy, brunette can be next be seen in the upcoming movie
Captain America: The First Avenger. Hopefully we'll see more of her on this side of the pond soon.

Classic/Retro Hottie: Marilyn Monroe

Do I really need to say anything about this week's retro hottie? Marilyn Monroe may have had a relatively short career and life, but she left quite a legacy behind. It is hard to say what she is better know for, the many affairs she had, or her ditzy blonde persona, or maybe it was the tragic end to her life. Some of her movie credits include Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Some Like It Hot, Monkey Business, Some Like It Hot, Let's Make Love, How to Marry a Millionaire, The Prince and the Showgirl, The Seven Year Itch (where this iconic pose comes from), just to name a few. I still say that Jayne Mansfield was the better actress as well the more attractive of the two (you can argue who was prettier...my vote goes to Marilyn on that one), but that's like comparing McDonald's and Burger King...similar, yet different. One thing is for sure, though, Marilyn is a true retro hottie!

Eye Candy vol 8

Female Hottie: Beyonce

What can I say about this woman that hasn't been said? She burst on the scene at the end of the 90s with the group Destiny's Child, then after a few years struck out on her own with a solo album, acting gigs soon followed, as did the cover of Sports Illustrated. Did I mention the girl is successful and has curves?!? Jay-Z is a lucky man!

Male Hottie: Jake Gyllenhaal

Ladies, wipe up your drool. You know Jake. He's been in quite a few films. If I'm not mistaken, he even went full frontal nude in Jarhead. His sister doesn't look to bad. I'm sure she'll be making an appearnace in the future.

Random Hottie from a movie or TV show seen this week: Kirsten Dunst

Kirsten's a child actress that has grown up on screen in front of our eyes. Remeber the little girl opposite Tm Cruise and Bradd Pitt in Interview With a Vampire? Look at her now! She earned this spot becuse this week I watched Spider Man 2. Personally, I think she looks better as a redhead.

MILF: Catherine Zeta-Jones

Why she married Michael Douglass is beyond me, but CZJ is definately a MILF. Think I'll go watch Chicago sometime this week, or even better The Legend of Zorro.

Classic/retro Hottie: Bo Derek

The woman that was once revered as a perfect 10. Last I saw her, she was playing the mother in law on 7th Heaven. Didn't look like she aged more than maybe 5 yrs. It's no wonder they called her a perfect 10. As long as she keeps those beads out ofher hair, she gets no less from me!
