Jealous much?

As I've mentioned here before, we have a new computer. I'm not complaining one bit about that. Something we seriously needed.

However, the little woman's best friend (and ex-lover) bought her an ipod, as well.

Now, the computer was not that big of a deal. She works for Dell and gets some kind of crazy discount. Still with the price of that combined with an ipod (and shipping/handling for both), I believe she's spent nearly $1,000!

One one hand, I'm jealous. I mean, my best friend probably would do the same if she was able, but considering how she hasn't worked in 7 yrs while she's been a housewife and mother, I don't think she's able. Plus she's getting ready to go back to school this fall.

On the other hand, the little woman's friend is one of those that could literally live in places like Best Buy, Comp USA, Radio Shack, etc. She loves shopping for electronics, no matter the cost (must be nice).

lol We thought about dropping the hint to her about a new TV. hmmm...

Newness

Yay! It got here! The new computer is here.

Now comes the fun part. Hooking it up and moving files over, not to mention formatting this one and getting rid of the old desktop that hasn't worked for two years.

This thing looks awesome, lemme tell ya! Hope it works as well as it looks.

Next new thing to get...TV, that little menu popping problem I've been having is getting progressively worse! UGH!

Oh well, as long as the set itself works, is all that matters. *knock on wood8

In the meantime, time to play with my new toy! :)

Winding down

So, my Entrecard days are coming to a close...at least for the summer. It appears as if this is none too soon.

The past few days in my inbox, there have been these blogs that are obviously nothing more than spam/virus blogs. It's about 20-30 of them, right there together. If they are real blogs, then that person is just missing out, because I'd rather not take the chance on opening them up and getting a virus or something.

In other news, this time next month I'll have a new desktop. The old one hasn't worked since Hurricane Gustav came in here and knocked power out for a week. We believe it got fried, but it was acting a bit wonky before then, and apparently, at one time, one of the neighbors tried to install a cooling fan and did it wrong, so that may have been an issue, as well.

Either way, it'll be good to have a new comp and clear up a ton of memory from my laptop.

So, in these last days of EC, I feel like I've already checked out and its just like going through the motions now. Sad, but true. Oh well, a few more days won't hurt.
