Remember that thing called forgiveness?

Apparently, the Philadelphia Eagles do as they signed Michael Vick. I couldn't be happier. No, I'm not an Eagles fan, as a matter of fact, this is bad for my Dallas Cowboys, but the man deserves to be able to continue where he left off. I've said this before, and I'll say it again, all he did was kill some dogs. Had he run some sort of child porn, prostitution, or human organ harvesting ranch, it'd be different.

I'm sure there are more than a few of you out there that agree with the fans of Philadelphia, and the papers, thinking that he should be made to suffer for the rest f his days. As you can tell, I'm not one of those people.

I believe in forgiveness, especially when it comes to something this minor. It's bad enough on top of his 2 yr prison sentence, he has to serve a 6 game suspension and can only play i n the final two preseason games.

Let's not forget that it seemed as if no team wanted to sign him. Obviously, this would be a PR nightmare, but I think it was also a matter of bad timing. Had he have been released back in April or so, then teams that needed a QB could have mad decision with him in mind.

I read an article this morning where some columnist was angry. not because he was coming back to the league. Not because he was going to be an Eagle, but because he wasn't crying. Seriously?!? He's expected to cry over some dogs? Yes, I suppose he should show some remorse, after all he was in charge of murdering animals, but think of it this way. When you kill ants, flies, roaches, mosquitoes, etc, or have an exterminator come in and do it for you, are you sad for them?

People need to get over the fact that he killed some dogs and let him get on with his life. It'll be so much better for everyone. There really is no need to keep acting like a girl scorned on prom night about this. Forgive and forget. Michael Vick is not Osama bin Laden, but you couldn't tell the way some people act.

***side note: yes, i am a supporter of Michael Vick, but not of dogfighting.***
