Movie Etiquette

Some people just didn't receive good home training. I don't know about you, but when I go to a movie and am sitting there waiting for the previews to start, I don;t want to have to listen to a gaggle of cackling from a group of girls who seemed to be gossipy and vindictive towards everyone that wasn't in their group or some frat boy looking guy';s ipod turned up as loud as it would go. Oh and we can't forget those people who can't wait a couple hours to answer/read a text message.

I don;t have an problem with talking before the movie or anything, like that. It's expected when you're in a big group like that. However, when it gets so loud that you it all but echoes around the whole place, then you need to tone it down. At least that would be common sense, but I guess some people just don't have that.

I now know why teachers and chaperons say t have your music turned down when you are on a bus. They don't wanna have to hear the music. This guy at the movies had his turned up s loud, i could hear it just like it was playing over the speakers. An old guy that was sitting near me actually moved over a few seats so he didn't have to hear it. Smart man. Ipod guy left and went to the restroom, I'm assuming, and there was silence (excluding what was playing on the screen at the time and the various conversations and such going on). Of course, when he came back, he just had to turn his music back on. Thank goodness the lights dimmed and the previews started or it would have been more of the same.

Some people just don't seem to grasp the concept that when the lights go down, a lit cell phone screen will be rather obvious. Honestly, it's a bit distracting, especially, if you're sitting near the screen. you're watching the move an all of a sudden there's this little light that shows up and distracts you. If a person can't wait 2 hours to read or answer a text, then they have issues.

Remember the days when usher used to walk up and down the aisles making sure this kind f stuff (along with other..*AHEM* acts...) didn't go on? Wonder whatever happened to them? Now it seems like all they do is come in after the movie and pick up trash. I can imagine that if they were still around today, they'd ave the power to either confiscate the phones or kick folks out. That would be awesome! lol
