Over the years, jeans have gone through a variety of styles. In the old west, they were worn so tight they might as well have been spandex. In the 70s, they became bell bottoms. The late 90s brought us the baggy trend. All of these styles are worn in some shape, form, or fashion still today. I myself prefer the loose look.
Last week, President Obama threw out the first pitch at baseball's All-Star game. I'm no fan of baseball(ironically, I played in high school), but I did tune in to watch said pitch. Now all of a sudden, people are complaining about his jeans. HIS JEANS!!!
Good grief, have we become that much of a criticizing society that a man can't even wear a pair of comfortable jeans without facing criticism? I realize he's the President and all, but he is human. I mean, good grief, was he supposed to go out there in his usual business suit? I think not.
He says it best when defending his jeans, "They're comfortable."
Of course knowing the way some people think, that simple statement will get turned into something un-American or anti-Conservative. It's ridiculous how far we've fallen in this day and age.
We know live in a world where a man can't wear a pair of comfortable jeans in peace!

I do think people will find every little thing to criticize about him. From the fly swatting up to his jeans. I wonder what comes next.
You know, I saw the headline online about that and I said "I am *not* clicking on that." Of all the things to worry about now...
If it was on the fashion pages, fine, that's what they cover. But to make that national news? It's crazy.
haha people love to criticize.
i didn't see that, but it doesn't surprise me. people are getting more and more ridiculous. it's really sad that they have nothing better to do with their lives than to constantly criticize someone else.
Fiona- sure seems like it
Valerie-not quite sure how the presiden't fashion is bigger news than more pressing matters, but hey, at least it isn't more MJ coverage, right?
Lira- they sure do
PJ- this information age is to blame. i honestly wonder what som people would do if they had to go back 5, 10, or 50 yrs, y'know?
