Schooling the young 'uns

When I was in high school, aside from being a band geek, I also played a few sports (basketball, soccer, baseball, track, swimming). With school getting out early this afternoon, I was ready to get out of there, get home, and take advantage of the half day off by catching up on some sleep. As I was about to lock up, I got pulled in to the gym by a few of my students who more or less said that I was too old to play basketball.

Playing a game with a bunch of 8th graders...especially at my age and the current shape I'm in, you'd think I'd have not been able to keep up, but instead it was quite the fun game and I schooled them.

Even though I'm far removed from the perfect specimen I was in high school (I'm exaggerating, of course), I'm amazed at how I was able to run up and down the courts like that for a good hour and not get winded. I guess I still have some memories from my athlete days left in these old bones, after all.

Not trying to sound like a big douche, but it was totally awesome dominating those boys! Yeah, I'm a little competitive. Wanna make somethin' about it?

You wouldn't happen to have some links to where we could read what they are saying about you--would you? Enquiring minds want to know. At least it was good that they knew CPR.
