What a week

This has got to go down in history as one of the worst weeks for my friends. One of them had the misfortune of celebrating the 3rd anniversary of the passing of her husband, on top of having the flu and her son nearly choking to death on a pencil. Yes, I said a pencil. He likes to sharpen them down real low and for some reason he had put it in his mouth and managed to nearly swallow it. Luckily the doctors got it out, but that was a bad day, for sure. Don't you just love Mondays?

Another friend found out she was pregnant. This would be a good thing, except she's still in school and getting ready to enlist in the Air Force, not to mention not being married. She hasn't been to the doctor yet, though, so its not official, and until she can afford insurance, she probably won't be going.

As bad as those days were, another of my friends has had to have had the worst of it all. She lost her mother yesterday afternoon. This is really taking its toll on her, especially since her mother had cancer that they did not detect until it was too late. She was really close to her mom, too.

Hopefully, this isn't a pattern and other people in my life don't continue with this bad week pattern! Not sure I could handle it.

Hope things start looking up for your friends! I had the same thing happen to a friend three weeks ago. They had to deliver her twins premature because of her high blood pressure. The babies were rushed to another hospital before she could even see them, her dad died the day after the babies came, then her one twin had to have surgery before he was even three days old.

But when you're at the bottom, the only way there is to go is up! Things will get better!

Wow! That is a horrendous week! I hope that good things start to happen soon for your friends. It's so hard to see those we love suffer.

Cashmere- they're getting better. it was just one of those weeks, y'know?

Leigh- I hope so, too. Not a fan of all these negative events.

Unemployed asshole- Thanks!

Shinade- *knock on wood* nothing else has happened, so that's a good sign

Jane- it was indeed hard to know that they were all in pain, and there wasn't anything I could do about it

Someone- they've perked up, so the pain of the early part of the week has subsided...at least on the surface
