Hump Day

In looking through many blogs, I come across entries entitled "Wordless Wednesday". Fear not, I'm not going to add those to my weekly series, but I have become curious. We tend to call Wednesday, "Hump Day". Has anyone ever bothered to ask or wonder why?

Wedensday is the middle day of the week, so the term "hump day" is meant to signify that we are getting over the hump. however, some of those that have their mind in the gutter, have turned it into a sexual connotation. Isn't that sad?
